New and On Sale: the Atlas Optics 7x36 Intrepid ED Binocular!

It’s no secret that the six of us on the EO sales team have our favorite binoculars. We do, and we like to share what we like with our customers. We’ve long pitted the Atlas Optics Intrepid ED (8x42 and 10x42) against other binoculars in a much higher price range, and not every time, but often, the Intrepid comes out on top. Being in the optics business, even we sometimes marvel at how these things can happen. Generally the better optical quality has the higher price tag. But the Intrepid has proven to be one of those exceptions to the rule. Now, there’s another member of the Intrepid family to get excited about. Introducing the sweet little sister: the Atlas Optics Intrepid ED 7x36 Binocular.

With its 36 mm objective lens, this bin isn’t exactly little. It’s considered mid-sized, which many of us prefer for its lighter weight, wide field of view, and smaller, more portable size. The exit pupil is almost the same as the 8x42, so it will perform well in low-light conditions, and the ED glass affords a crisp, bright, and clear image. You’ll notice the excellent color definition--it’s another nice aspect of the ED glass.

I mean, what's not to like about this 22-ounce gem? Its open-hinge design is comfortable to hold, and it focuses down to 5.1 feet. Okay, it may not be as crisp to the edge as the top brands, but with the field of view at a whopping 477 ft./1000 yds., you probably won't notice. Very reasonably priced at $299, this Intrepid's sale price is a jaw-dropping $249 through the end of August. In my opinion, it’s the best mid-sized bino in its class on the market, backed by the Eagle Optics no-fault lifetime warranty.

Take it from your friends at Eagle Optics.  We like this binocular!  For the money, the Atlas Optics Intrepid ED 7x36 Binocular won’t disappoint.
