Learn how to pish from the best when you attend the 7th Annual Galveston FeatherFest being held April 2-5, 2009. Expert birder and author Pete Dunne will be the speaker for the festival’s Keynote Dinner and teach a workshop that will have you bird whispering in no time.
Hit hard by hurricanes last year, this annual festival will find the area well on its way to recovery and ready to welcome visitors to enjoy the excellent birding venues and historic charm of Galveston, Texas. Attendees won’t want to miss the Thursday evening social with sanctuary managers from the National Wetlands Center. They will hold a discussion about the effects of hurricanes on animals and their environment.
