Swarovski Announces Digiscoping Winners

Swarovski Digiscoper of the Year-

What could be as wonderful as seeing wildlife in person? Most of us would say nothing. But when you can't travel around the world, I recommend you take in the colors and details of the astoundingly beautiful photographs selected as winners in the 2008 Swarovski Digiscoper of the Year contest. You will delight in photos of an expressive, mud-encrusted African Buffalo, the jam-packed cheeks of an Eastern Chipmunk, and the hide-and-seek pose of a Little Owl. I don't know how a winner is selected---all of these photographs are stunningly gorgeous!

Kids In Nature-

It is a rewarding feeling to KIN_1787.jpgsee youngsters learning about nature while using binoculars donated through the Eagle Optics Matching Donation program. Jennifer Thorsch from the Kids In Nature Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara sent this photo of her students as they used binoculars for observations of birds including the endangered Snowy Plover. Eagle Optics is grateful to programs like this for teaching others about the world around us.
