Good news about Whooping Cranes

Whooping Crane news---

A post on the Wisconsin Birding Network shared great news about the Whooping whoop.jpgCrane activity in and around the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. A recent aerial search found four new nests, bringing the total of actively incubating pairs to ten. Two other pairs were showing signs of nesting---keep your fingers crossed! Many dedicated organizations have spent years on the establishment of this eastern migratory flock. Just recently 56 of the 72 cranes in this flock were reported back in Wisconsin. For up-to-date information, the field journal at Operation Migration is a great resource.

Binoculars you can enjoy and afford---

Have you ever wished for a second pair of good binoculars to carry in your car, leave at the cabin, or have on hand for your binocularless companion? This week's Eagle Optics email offers the perfect solution for any of these situations. The Bushnell Legacy WP 8x42 binocular delivers performance at a surprisingly higher level than its sale price would indicate. I found them to be especially bright and sharp. The waterproof and fogproof Legacy is one we can recommend as a very economical way to own a first binocular or buy that extra pair. Call us at 1-800-289-1132 for details.
