Zeiss Digiscoping Package-A Perfect Present

Have you heard or read about digiscoping, but after your initial investigation decided it is not for you? Digiscoping can be a daunting undertaking. However, this popular and growing hobby is certainly enticing. Thezs_dc4_100.jpg Zeiss Diascope DC4 Digiscoping Eyepiece is remarkably different from the various spotting scope digiscoping adapters on the market. Zeiss has integrated a digital camera with the spotting scope eyepiece to create a quick and straightforward digiscoping tool which simplifies the initial challenge of selecting the right combination of equipment.

The Zeiss Diascope's design contains superior optical quality for bright, clear-cut views. Whether you are deep in a wooded area or shore birding, the excellent light transmission is sure to deliver handsome details of the wildlife you are observing. With the Zeiss Diascope 85mm Spotting Scope, the DC4 digiscoping eyepiece provides a fixed 40 power magnification and a super telephoto focal lens of up to 1460mm. Paired with the Zeiss Diascope 65mm Spotting Scope, it offers a 30 power magnification and a lens function of up to 1120mm.. This eyepiece allows constant image monitoring, even while taking the picture. The housing is rubber-armored and water resistant for use in almost all weather conditions.

The 4 megapixel camera comes with DxO image software which allows images to be enlarged to 8x10. It has a large two inch LCD display screen to view your image or menu operations. The remote control operation is an especially popular feature as it allows you to take the picture as soon as you see the image. Best of all, the remote control eliminates the possibility of camera movement causing a blurred image. A feature I like is the ability to view the images, not only on the computer, but on your television as well. Sharing your favorite photos with a group couldn't be easier. Eagle Optics on Location:

Last week found Kate at the Rockport Hummingbird Festival in Rockport, Texas and Ben enjoying the Midwest Birding Symposium in Illinois. You will see Eagle Optics Staff at the upcoming Michigan Crane Fest in Bellevue, Michigan and the Colonial Coast Birding and Nature Festival at Jekyll Island, Georgia. These festivals are a great way to get sport optics in hand and actually see for yourself which binocular or spotting scope will enhance your birding, hunting, sporting or astronomy activities. Another way to do this would be to visit us at our showroom. If you are ever close to the southern Wisconsin area, make plans to stop in. We look forward to seeing you, either "on location" or "at home".

  1. I have been looking into getting a digiscope set up. But I already have a Digital SLR. I would like to use it if possible. I love taking nature shots. Any ideas?
