We're Number One!

Recently Money magazine announced Middleton, Wisconsin as the "Best Place to Live" in America for 2007. For those of you who don't know, it is also the home of Eagle Optics. We like to think of ourselves as the "Best Place to Buy Sport Optics" and our customers' feedback indicates they think of Eagle Optics first when they need binoculars, spotting scopes, tripods, laser rangefinders, and digiscoping info. We also carry many other items to enhance your outdoor experience, whether you are birding, hunting or doing field work. Consumer friendly upgrades to our website, subscribing to our promotional emails, and I hope this blog, have contributed to the growing trust we hear from old customers and new.

Just as we strive to provide the best customer service possible, we also want to keep you updated on sales,mp_meo-apo_st_200.jpg promotions, festivals and new products. The Eagle Optics website has a limited time offer on the Meopta Meostar Spotting Scope. With the purchase of the Meostar spotting scope body, you will receive a free Meopta 30x Wide Angle Eyepiece. This eyepiece provides a 114 ft./1000 yds. field of view and although the ocular lens seems small, it provides a comfortable viewing experience. We had the Meopta Meostar S1 75mm APO straight spotting scope set up in the showroom and all of us agreed it performs very well in this price class. Most customers don't often think of Meopta when shopping for a good spotting scope, but you should take a look at this. The Meostar is reasonably sized, has a large helical focus wheel, good color resolution and edge to edge sharpness. The aprochromtic glass also makes this scope a favorable option for digiscoping. Using the Vortex Small Universal Digiscoping Adapter with a compatible digital point and shoot camera should yield some great results.

With fall migration already starting, we are preparing for the fall birding festival season. blue_BF.jpg Next week, you will find Eagle Optics Staff at the Southwest Wings Bird Fest. The butterflies at this festival are just as diverse as the birds, so consider treating yourself to a pair of Pentax Papilio binoculars in the 6.5x21 or the 8.5x21. Our butterfliers love this binocular and while supplies last, we are sending a free Pentax stainless travel coffee mug with the purchase of a Papilio binocular.

To our longtime customers-thank you, thank you, for all the many customer referrals you send us daily. We can't tell you how appreciative we are for these referrals. To our new customers, we hope you find our customer service goes above and beyond your expectations. Trying to buy sport optics can be confusing. It is our pleasure to deliver the "best advice from the best place to buy sport optics" right here in the "best place to live" in America---little old Middleton, Wisconsin. Come see us!
