Hustle and bustle can best describe the week we’ve had at Eagle Optics both in the showroom and at festivals. We have Eagle Optics Staff taking care of customers at two birding festivals. The Space Coast Birding Festival presented staff an opportunity to conduct workshops on digiscoping and Binoculars 101. The festival has been well attended by birders and sport optics manufacturers alike. Representatives from Bushnell, Leica, Nikon, Pentax, Swarovski, and Zeiss are there to show their line of sport optics offered by Eagle Optics. Today and tomorrow will find Mike McDowell traveling to Illinois for the Starved Rock Bald Eagle Days. Mike always offers excellent advice on birding and the right sport optic for getting the best results.
As promised a couple weeks ago, we are moving forward on the completion of staff reviews. Look for my review of high-end compact binoculars shortly. This grouping of sport optics is increasingly requested due to busy lifestyles and the desire to have a first-rate binocular handy at all times. Many recent inquiries about compacts are from customers who frequent the theater or will be attending the Super Bowl game. Corey (EO Staff) has undertaken the reviewing process for the massive collection of 8×42 binoculars in the $250 to $450 range. This is an important segment of binoculars, especially for our birding community. Hopefully, he will have time before long to post his evaluations to the blog.
Today finds us enjoying the company of the DuPage Birding Club at our showroom. They are getting the opportunity to preview the new Kowa TSN Prominar Spotting Scopes as well as checking out tripods and binoculars. We love seeing our customers in person and it has been especially rewarding this week to have numerous customers in choosing the right binoculars for a trip to Alaska , trips to the tropics and viewing birds on the many lakes located in and around Madison, Wisconsin.. Be sure to contact us if you would like to visit or bring a group.
